Dossier in country now!

Time really has gotten away from me lately with me starting my new job and adjusting to working full time and balancing time with my family that I have not had the opportunity to update our blog and to let you all know what has been going on.  After getting our USCIS approval, we had to get the rest of our dossier paperwork together and get it all apostilled at the Secretary of State with a special seal stating that these were original documents for Andrei's country.  We went to FedEx and finally got it off last Monday the 21st.  Unfortunately, for some strange bizarre reason, our dossier was stuck in Memphis, Tennesee for one day because the plane or the scanner had issues we will never know but it didn't leave until the next day and arrived to CHI on Thursday.  Nina, our caseworker, turned around and sent it right back on to Andrei's country in Eastern Europe.  Tracking it through FedEx was fun as we saw it go from Washington, to Memphis, Tennesee on to Paris, France and today it has arrived there and now is on a truck to be delivered sometime today.  We are relieved to finally get the homestudy, USCIS approval, and our dossier done and now it's a waiting game for us now as when our dossier gets to the office, they will start translating all the documents and then give our dossier to the Ministry of Justice for them to review.  Upon reviewing everything, they will then issue us our official referral along with travel dates.  We are inching closer and closer to meeting our son for the first time.  We hope to travel sometime in July!

I have to admit that while gathering our dossier together that I was very stressed out and frustrated as there were some glitches along the way like getting our physical forms updated, our dossier being stalled in Tennesee because of issues and trying to get it all done while I'm working all day was stressful.  I am very fortunate that I was able to go to my women's bible study and ask for help in finding verses to help me through all this.  Thank you ladies!!
